DAFITC Breakout Training Sessions
Last year the Department of Air Force Information Technology and Cyberpower event offered over 185 breakout training sessions. The theme for 2025 is Lethality * Readiness * Efficiency, and this theme features four unique training tracks.
The Call for Presentations is now open. If you would like to take a greater role in DAFITC 2025, submit your presentation today!

2025 Breakout Training Tracks
A Zero Trust Lense on Warfighter Capability: Driving a zero-trust culture to meet operational imperatives of today.
This track explores the practical implementation of Zero Trust principles within the USAF and USSF through architectural alignment, portfolio management, investment analysis (capturing system duplication and overlap, and greater return on investment), and innovation. Submissions should address specific use cases, technological advancements, and the impact on operational capabilities.
Securing the Lifeline: Supply Chain Risk Management for Mission-Critical IT and Warfighter Communications Systems.
This track focuses on innovative approaches to securing the USAF and USSF’s IT and communications supply chain. Topics of interest include vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence sharing, secure acquisition practices, the new Software Fast Track (SWIFT) program, and the development of resilient and trustworthy systems. Submissions should emphasize the impact on warfighter readiness and operational effectiveness.
Data and Artificial Intelligence: Enhancing DAF Capabilities in the Digital Battlespace.
This track explores the application of data and artificial intelligence to further mission execution, enhance decision-making abilities, and increase productivity across mission areas. Topics may include operationalizing the DAF data and AI strategies, ensuring a data and AI literate workforce, and breaking down barriers to increase data accessibility and accelerate the adoption of AI. Presentations should demonstrate how data and AI are being used in each domain to improve readiness, lethality, and efficiency.
Cultivating the Next Generation of Cyber Warriors: Workforce Development, Training, and Retention Strategies for the USAF and USSF.
This track focuses on effective strategies for recruiting, training, and retaining a highly skilled cyber workforce. Topics of interest include innovative training programs, professional development initiatives, retention incentives, and building a diverse and inclusive cyber community. Submissions should address the impact of workforce development on the Air Force’s cyber readiness, lethality, and operational efficiency.
