Col Asan Q. Bui
Director of Cyberspace and Technology | Headquarters Air Force Reserve CommandCol. Asan Q. Bui is the Director of Cyberspace and Technology at Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. In this role, he is responsible for the command’s cyberspace and communications policy, planning, resourcing, and programming along with the force development of 3,500 cyber personnel in supporting the command’s mission to provide combat ready forces. He serves as the Chief Information Officer and directly supports the command headquarters, Air Reserve Personnel Center, three Numbered Air Forces, and 684 Reserve units consisting of approximately 70,000 personnel.
Col. Bui entered the Air Force in May 2000 through ROTC from Louisiana State University. Bui completed technical training as at Keesler AFB, Miss in September 2000 with 13-years of active service and 12-years as a reservist. Prior to his current assignment, Col. Bui recently served as the commander of the 927th Mission Support Group, where he was responsible for over 250 officers, enlisted, and civilian personnel providing oversight, management and resource advocacy in manpower, military and civilian personnel, training, facility and public works, security, logistics, and communications for the reserve Wing. He has served multiple positions supporting aircraft maintenance, aeromedical evacuation, cyber, Air Staff, combat support agencies, acquisitions, rescue, and special operations.
