Brig Gen Jeffrey A. Phillips
Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighter Communications and Cyber SystemsBrig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Phillips is the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighter Communications and Cyber Systems, Headquarters Air Force, the Pentagon,Arlington, Virginia. In this role, he serves as the Air Force’s senior leader responsible for guidance, oversight, and advocacy of Air Force Warfighter Communications and Cyber Systems implementation. He integrates comprehensive planning, strategic resourcing, and force development, readiness, and management activities to deliver critical freedom of action in cyberspace, advancing Joint warfighting missions by ensuring the service maintains technological superiority and operational resilience across all domains of military operations.
Upon completing his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in computer information systems from Saint Leo College at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, the general was commissioned in 1999 from Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He has commanded base communications and cyberspace operations organizations at the unit and wing levels; served as a staff member at the agency, major command, Air Staff, and combatant command levels; and most recently served as the Director of Staff and Director of Cyberspace and Warfighter Communications (A6) for Air Combat Command.
